The closing text of this volume unfolds around several unpublished manuscripts1 by the French thinker. From his vast body of notes, the present inquiry focuses on those dated September 23 and October 6-7, 19582, as well as on the Esquisse ontologique, likely written in March 19593. The selection of these documents is by no means accidental; it is driven by a precise theoretical motivation: to show how, beginning precisely from these notes, one may discern in the thought of the later Merleau-Ponty a decisive reworking of the concepts of time, space, and movement, and thus a radically renewed approach to the notions of Nature, Human Being, and Being itself.
