In this chapter, the strictly archetypal, purely receptive and archaic-regressive pathic aesthetics of Ludwig Klages (1872-1956) are compared and differentiated with the playfully nature-loving, romantically creative pathic aesthetics of Bettina von Arnim (1785-1859). In Bettina von Arnim’s work, it becomes particularly clear that and how bodily-atmospheric resonance relationships form the mood basis in the pathic dialogue with nature, on which emotional-gestalt-like and spiritual-metaphorical correspondence relationships are built up and enable a deep and imaginative approach to nature. A relational approach to nature that has not yet been sufficiently seen and appreciated; but which, in my opinion, shows the decisive structural criteria of Nature Writing and a pathic-aesthetic phenomenology: resonating – corresponding – poeticising.
