The previous chapters analyzed the substantial evolution that the concept of Citizen Science has undergone over the last decade, highlighting its ability to profoundly redefine the paradigms of scientific knowledge production, dissemination and understanding. This transformation has been addressed not only on a theoretical level, but also through empirical exploration using a mixed methods approach, which has made it possible to grasp the complexity and multiple articulations of this phenomenon in the contemporary context.
