A triptych, Rosalie, ma fille (2013), was exhibited in Triptyques Atypiques at the Galerie Nathalie Obadia in Paris (8 February–5 April 2014). It appears again, in a small reproduction, in Laure Adler’s 2023 book, Agnès Varda.1 The triptych shows three photographs by Agnès Varda of her daughter Rosalie. The triptych has at its centre a childhood picture. Her head is lifted as she looks beyond the frame. She seems a dreaming child. Her eyes are large, her face seems open. She holds a doll in her arms, like an image of the Madonna. A chairback is behind her like a halo, a textile cord hanging down.
