In the face of much discord in our communities and in the world, I try to describe a good leader: one who might help their communities or teams work in harmony, who does not impose their desires or vision on others, who cherishes differences, listens to, and learns from all, and facilitates dialogues and collaborations. My method consists of constructing2 conceptual tools in “intercultural dialogue”3 with Plato (Greece, 428/427 - 348/347 BCE), Dōgen (Japan, 1200-1253 CE) and others. While appreciating how different their contexts are from ours, I will try to create, in dialogue with them, a concept of “decentred leader” that might inspire our actions, in contexts as different as politics, education, management, parenting, etc.

摘要
