Due to the developments caused by globalization and digitalization in the translation industry, workflows in general, but especially subtitling workflows have changed immensely over the past three decades. In many cases, they have progressed from manual offline processes split between technicians and translators to highly technologized and integrated processes in the cloud performed by a team of skilled subtitlers (Bolaños García-Escribano & Díaz-Cintas, 2020; Díaz-Cintas & Massidda, 2019; Díaz-Cintas & Remael, 2019). Just like translation workflows, they have been impacted by multiple factors, e.g., the introduction of innovative computer systems, advanced assisting software, and most recently by seemingly limitless cloud technology allowing for quick data sharing, remote collaboration, and the online integration of several assisting language technology tools.

摘要
