Auf der Suche nach dem Geschlechtergedächtnis
摘要
In prose works, male narratives about wars are usually favoured. The female perspective appears less frequently, so that the interest in female narratives about war has become a necessity in recent decades, leading to the creation of a gendered memory. The analysis and interpretation of selected novels by the German writer Ruth Storm (1905–1993) is part of such research and in the following contribution aims to discuss them as expressions of memory figures that include specific places, semantic records of what has been experienced or the identification of the relationship of collective memory processes in relation to their individual variants.
