The Russo-Ukrainian war, particularly after the Russian invasion of 24th February 2022, like any other exceptional events, has had a visible impact on Ukrainian society. Such an unexpected extra-linguistic factor has caused a series of cultural-linguistic changes. These are most evidently reflected in the lexis. A series of borrowings, neologisms as well as semantic shifts of already existing words can be noted in everyday language usage. In this article (ch. 3), after a contextualisation of the major language situation events, some of the most common lexemes best characterising the ongoing war are outlined. The examples are based on social media and some popular Ukrainian songs composed about the war.

摘要
