Disruptions Caused by AI in the Language Industry and Education
摘要
Several online and on-site events have promoted artificial intelligence as a tool that should help speed and effectuate processes. The language research, studies, and industry sectors are no exception. Language professionals have recently applied large language models in different operations of multilingual transfer. However, it is still open to what specific tasks and how those models will impact the shifts in the professional environment and training. The purpose of the paper is to show the AI tools used in translation and LSP to look at what they are used for and how effective they would be in the daily work of translators. We want to discuss whether the AI platforms available have the potential to become an optimal aid for specialised translation. By identifying current gaps and challenges, we aim to contribute to the discourse on how to refine AI solutions for practical and pedagogical purposes in the field of language services.
