It is no surprise that Artificial Intelligence presents a risk. It is a relatively new concern that TPRM programs are now evaluating and managing, and therefore, some new aspects of that risk need to be explained. AI risks include immediate issues like biased decision-making, privacy violations, and job displacement, as well as long-term existential threats such as loss of human control, potential misuse by malicious actors, and the risk of AI surpassing human intelligence. Other significant risks encompass the spread of misinformation, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and environmental impacts related to AI's energy use.
