Traffic Engineering for Cloud Resilience and Performance
摘要
In Chapter 6, we practiced the art of quiet recovery—containment that narrows the blast radius, promotions that happen only when the system is ready, and failbacks that feel boring by design. But choreography lives on a stage, and that stage is the network. If the underlay can’t deliver predictable reachability when the winds pick up—if latency shivers, if BGP flaps, if the internet’s edge forgets you exist—then even the most elegant recovery stumbles. This chapter begins at that seam: where resilient applications meet the messy, probabilistic world of packets.
