Throughout this book, we explored the rich ecosystem of open source tools that support the creation, manipulation, and display of digital maps. We started with an understanding of OpenStreetMap, the foundation technology. We then went on to learning how to query and extract geographic data for general or specific needs using OSM-associated APIs – Overpass and Nominatim.
