In the previous chapter, you learned how to connect to existing Hyper-V hosts. Next, you need to learn how to create virtual machines. Using Client Hyper-V for that and testing gives you a safe place to learn. You might not have Client Hyper-V installed, though. Therefore, this chapter starts with installing Hyper-V. After that, it goes through virtual machine creation. You’ll learn some basics about virtual machine configuration, although not too much. We don’t want to spoil later chapters!
