Migrating Virtual Machines Between Hosts Without Clustering
摘要
Chapter 11 showed how to use Windows Server Failover Clustering to provide high availability for virtual machines by enabling them to move to other physical computers. You will encounter other reasons to move virtual machines to other hosts. For example, it doesn’t always make sense to use rolling cluster upgrades to replace nodes. You might prefer to build new clusters and migrate the virtual machines to them. As technology matures and requirements change, you might need to move virtual machines to hosts with more suitable hardware. You might not use clusters at all, especially in situations where individuals use Client Hyper-V on their laptop and desktop computers.
