Modern-day web applications demand dynamic delivery, data rendition, and display of content. In a dynamic web application, content can come in many forms – it could be curated for user consumption (e.g., information about a place), transactional (e.g., buying history of a user), or user-generated (e.g., user comments or feedback). Modern-day web applications contain a multitude of content, which varies from simple text content to multimedia content such as video, audio, and images. Where the data will persist and how it will be accessed are critical design considerations one needs to take while defining a complex web application.
