As with most human inventions, the Internet’s possibilities were quickly exploited by threat actors and those with less lofty motives. Rogue coders, shadowy cartels, and entire criminal syndicates deeply explored the art of what was possible, leveraging the technology for their own gains. Therefore, with a heavy head, let us proceed with a gentle nod to the epochs and an acknowledgment to the known entities that have given the Internet a bad reputation.
