Establishing Observability Foundations in Istio: Infrastructure, Tracing, and Metrics
摘要
In today's cloud-native landscape, applications are increasingly being created as collections of microservices, each responsible for a distinct business function; this architectural approach has several benefits, including enhanced scalability, shorter deployment times, and improved fault isolation. However, it adds tremendous complexity to understanding system behavior. When dozens or hundreds of services interact to satisfy a single user request, typical monitoring methods fail.
