In previous chapters, we discussed how APIs could be designed and implemented. We discussed how agile organizational approaches were necessary to design sustainable APIs with a strong business focus. We assumed that our project was started without any previous components. Such a project is called a greenfield project, analogous to greenfield land, where no infrastructure exists yet.
