Up till now, we have focused on the edge layers and the communication layers. As we move forward in the world of IoT, we now venture into the world of cloud computing. Well, the fact is, without cloud computing, IoT won't be the Internet of Things but the Intranet of Things. The fact that devices can be monitored and controlled remotely is all possible due to cloud computing. This chapter will be focused on cloud computing and some key concept areas. At the end, we will have a sneak peek into building of an IoT data pipeline taking Azure as an example.
