Renewable Energy
摘要
To achieve “dual carbon” goal as schedule, an energy revolution is imperative, with renewable energy as the core pillar. By 2025, the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption in China should reach about 20%; by 2030, the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption should reach about 25%, and the total installed capacity of wind and solar power should reach more than 1.2 billion kW; by 2060, the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption will reach 80%. In order to implement the strategic goal of “dual carbon”, this chapter will begin by introducing relevant fundamental knowledge and analyzing the current situation and challenges of renewable energy in China. Furthermore, this chapter will emphasize the importance of renewable energy in China's journey towards “dual carbon” goal and propose the direction and pathway for renewable energy development in China.
