Purpose Indian Council of Medical Research is identified as premier institutes of medical research in healthcare in India. Having common goal of all of the affiliated institutes, there is a strong need for providing web-based information services to the users. To achieve satisfaction from the users of medical fraternity, there is a need to design and develop a web-based products, display these on institutes’ websites also called library portals to strengthen and streamline the services of their libraries. Methodology Web portals of the selected medical research libraries were analyzed to find out the availability of services, web resources and web products on their website. Findings The obtained data displays the diversity in web content of the selected medical institutes of ICMR. It provides information of the services and products available which can be streamlined in all the institutes. Value Library and information services play a very vital role in the overall national development. In present context, there is a lack of accordance and uniformity in the provisioning of web services.
