Data migration is a common phenomenon in libraries due to the improved library and information science-related developments, especially in automation solutions. The current paper proposed a framework to adopt during data migration, especially for standardising data and correcting errors. A lot of lacking standard and mistakes has been observed with the experiences gained during migrations. The methodology used has been explained in this paper for standardisation and data corrections. To standardise the data entry in an internationally recognised framework, the MARC21 format has been used, and for data standardisation and corrections, AACR-2 is followed. The paper also explains the possible errors/nonstandard data and tools and techniques to correct the same. The article also attempted to determine the data quality after migration to the new system.
