Applications of Polymer Condensed Physics in the Development of High-Performance Polymeric Materials

In the last decades, Professor Yuliang Yang from Fudan University, leading a research team, have conducted efficient industrial material innovations guided by fundamental theory and simulations of polymer condensed physics. The work includes massive industrialized polymer materials developed by cooperating with the research team led by Professor Jinliang Qiao of Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Engineering (Sinopec), under the support of National Major Project ‘973’ and ‘863’ in China. Engineering of polyolefin resin materials was realized for better replacing the imported polyolefin products. Furthermore, large-scale producing high-strength PAN carbon fibers was developed with our own intellectual property rights in Sinopec of Shanghai, China.
