Methodology to Prototype a Small Wind Turbine Emulator
摘要
This paper presents a methodology for prototyping a wind turbine emulator platform. The steps proposed to build the experimental platform starts from the planning of the prototype until its validation. In the wind generation systems, the goal is to have the highest efficiency trying to take the maximum energy extraction from the available wind resource, and to achieve this objective, regulation and control systems are needed, considering the wind conditions of the place and the type of turbine. The emulators or simulators, known as test benches, provide the flexibility and security to validate control systems before their implementation in real world. The motivation for this work is to promote the use clean energy and ameliorate the effects of climate change. The problem is that in-situ testing results in significant cost and disruption to the power grid. The focus of the project is designing an emulator that facilitates small-scale testing of wind turbines, by applying the design thinking methodology. As a result, an emulator platform for a wind turbine is obtained in which control algorithms will be test having the advantages to perform real tests in real wing turbines after the validation.
