Integrated IoT and Image Processing System for Efficient Traffic Violation Management in India
摘要
Road traffic violations are a significant issue contributing to road crashes, prompting India to adopt automated solutions. This design proposes a system using IoT and image processing for managing traffic violation penalties. It employs Python for license plate recognition and the tensor flow algorithm for image processing, with a sound detector identifying ambulances in specific lanes. Ambulance sounds are processed using IoT and sent to traffic poles to expedite clearance. The system also conserves power by setting a threshold distance for detected objects during non-peak hours. Additionally, the project introduces a system integrating webcam technology and sound sensors to detect helmetless riders and red signal violators, with fines allocated through a Telegram bot. This system aims to enhance traffic management, reduce accidents, and minimize power wastage, contributing to India's safer urban transportation ecosystem.
