The article is based on the SSA-SVR model, and through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and entropy weight method, it is analyzed that the sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) will continue to grow over the next decade but at a gradually slowing pace. We assess its impact on the global conventional energy vehicle market and the influence of foreign policies on China’s NEVs. Finally, an ecological cost model is established to determine the environmental benefits brought about by the development of NEVs.
