The key global crisis is soil pollution and its related issues, which are affecting soil biodiversity and ecosystem of soil. The current study includes the challenges and limitations associated with the soil pollutants caused by uncontrolled anthropogenic activities. Soil-algae technology is the emerging biotechnological approach for soil pollution control. This chapter gives an insight into soil bioremediation, control of soil pollution, and factors affecting algae survival in soil. Major emphasis is given to soil-algae diversity, which elaborates biotechnological aspects of algae in control of soil pollution and imparts global sustainable development goals.
