Total Flavonoids and Total Phenolics Content in Different Parts of Sea Buckthorn

Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) is a type of deciduous shrub or tree that goes by several names, including seaberry, sea buckthorn, and Siberian pineapple. There are around 200 beneficial and bioactive substances found in sea buckthorn. The pharmacological properties of sea buckthorn, including its antiviral, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and antibacterial properties, as well as its cardiovascular protective effects, have been the subject of numerous studies in recent years. Sea buckthorn is rich in phenolic compounds with strong antioxidant potential and contains high levels of vitamins, carotenoids, polyphenols, and fatty acids.
