Imaging in Evaluation and Surveillance of Postoperative Breast
摘要
Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers among females. The patients received variable treatment depending upon the stage of cancer with rapid evolution in management strategies. There have been a rising number of breast conservation surgeries with different kinds of flap reconstructions and advanced medical treatment leading to improved survival outcomes. This mandates timely surveillance of the patient for any local or distant recurrence. Thus, it is imperative for a radiologist to have a comprehensive understanding of the normal postoperative appearance of the breast. This knowledge is crucial for accurately monitoring patients’ progress, detecting potential complications, and identifying signs of recurrent disease.
