Whose Research Agenda: Moving Beyond Technosolutionism to Participatory Design
摘要
Design researchers develop and apply design knowledge for products, services, and interventions by engaging in digital social research. Acknowledging that “technical solutions cannot address non-technical, especially socio-political problems, and often replicate the very issues they aim to resolve,” this chapter offers an action-oriented critique of digital positivism and technosolutionism as a means to address complex societal challenges.
