Simulation Analysis of Mechanical Response of Aluminum Honeycomb Sandwich Structure

Aluminum honeycomb sandwich panels are composed of upper and lower panels and honeycomb core bodies. Due to their excellent mechanical properties such as high specific strength and specific stiffness, they are widely used in the fields of aerospace and automotive shipbuilding. This article takes ordinary aluminum honeycomb sandwich panels and reinforced aluminum honeycomb sandwich panels as research objects, obtains their mechanical responses under three load conditions through numerical simulation methods. And the mechanical properties of two types of aluminum honeycomb sandwich panels were compared using the results obtained from simulation analysis. The conclusion of this article can provide reference for the design of strengthening schemes for honeycomb sandwich panels under different load conditions.
