Male pattern baldness (MPB) or androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is one of the most common conditions affecting men. It now has a prevalence of approximately 50% by the age of 50 [1], due to increase in the average lifespan of the human population. The incidence of balding is significantly increasing, and higher number of patients are opting for Hair Restoration Surgery. The proportion of men with moderate to extensive hair loss increases significantly with age, ranging from 16% for men below 30 years of age to 53% of men aged 40–49. [2]
