A developed mathematical model considering the stage of nucleation and precipitation of inclusions based on classical nucleation theory was introduced to model the nucleation and collision growth of inclusions in the molten steel. The developed model was applied to predict the nucleation and initial growth of inclusions during steel deoxidation. Meanwhile, a numerical simulation on the collision, transport, and removal of inclusions in the molten steel during the RH refining process was performed.

摘要

A developed mathematical model considering the stage of nucleation and precipitation of inclusions based on classical nucleation theory was introduced to model the nucleation and collision growth of inclusions in the molten steel. The developed model was applied to predict the nucleation and initial growth of inclusions during steel deoxidation. Meanwhile, a numerical simulation on the collision, transport, and removal of inclusions in the molten steel during the RH refining process was performed.
