An Innovative and Visually Based Watermarking Applied to Integrity Protection of Objective and Subjective Plant’s PAYLOAD in a IoT Precision Farming Platform

The lack of agricultural products and their declining quality are caused by factors such as population expansion, droughts, climate changes, wars, and the migration of people from rural to urban areas [1]. Many concerns have been expressed about the steps that should be taken to boost production, or at the very least, ensure the security of the current, and to combat the deceit of intermediaries between producers and final consumers—the latter of whom continues to be the victim of fraud in one of the most vital components for its survival—and food. This paper sets the objective of optimizing PAYLAOD integrity protection in IoT platforms deploying an innovative and visually optimized watermarking coding aiming to perceptually hide a farming plant’s objective data in the subjective one. This is done with a view to offering green and secured solutions to agricultural greenhouse defense and human security. Based on psychovisual quality properties of the human visual system, our innovative solution improves the coding quality and reduces the size, energy consumption, and time duration costs. To address this, we provide our brand-new, ground-breaking precision farming system, which is green, intelligent, secure, optimized, and implemented to assure agricultural product authenticity and protection against fraud from the producer (farming greenhouse) to the end user and to ensure transparent transactions [2]. The precision farming platform is applicable to any transaction that necessitates traceability and visibility in the supply chain. It facilitates the analysis and processing of transmitted data and origin verification and, of course, helps prevent and combat food fraud. On the one hand, it makes it possible to document the history of a product and the interactions that occur between farmers and every participant in the agricultural product marketing supply chain, including consumers, marketers, and agroindustry experts. This solution has allowed us to support and promote high-quality products, precision farming, and integrity protection.
