Optimizing Nonrigid Demons Registration Using the Bat Algorithm
摘要
In image registration, disparate images are combined into a single, coherent coordinate system. This allows for the easy comparison of similar features between images. It entails translating points from one image to an equivalent location in another. Image registration is a popular technique that is used in medical imaging and satellite imaging. While automatic picture registration is a well-researched subject, preattentive and attentive image registration poses novel obstacles. The primary challenge is the stark disparity in resolution between the sensors in both satellite imaging and medical imaging. To reduce the registration error and time complexity, metaheuristic algorithms are often used for image processing. In this paper, the nonrigid demons image registration process is optimized using the bat algorithm. The obtained results showed improvement of the image as a result and a reduction in the processing time.
