Exploring the Potential of Multiple Cropping for Yield Improvement in Indian Agriculture
摘要
Agriculture has long been the backbone of many rural societies in India, providing food and income to countless people both within the country and globally. With the growing challenges posed by climate change and an expanding population, the need for innovative and sustainable agricultural practices has become increasingly urgent. Despite its significance, current farming practices rely heavily on manual labour, and irrigation techniques often lack efficiency, leading to worker exploitation. This study, through extensive literature review and field research, investigates the various methods and technologies used in irrigation systems and their impact on farm productivity and sustainability. It further examines the limitations and challenges of these systems, aiming to identify new strategies to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness, ultimately contributing to food security and addressing the rising demand for daily labour.
