Sound Quality
摘要
This chapter describes how to assess the quality of sound in a space, how to determine whether that is consistent with the purpose of the space, and how to specify acoustic parameters to achieve a required sound quality. Much of the discussion concerns reverberation—its subjective impact, measurement and design goals. Other descriptors are also discussed, including clarity, coloration and the effect of echoes. The chapter concludes with a summary of good design practice for specifying sound quality.
