Gu Mingyuan’s educational thoughts involve all fields of education, cover all stages of education, and touch all aspects of educational theory and practice. This is the result of his rich studying and teaching experiences, including those at the Department of Education of Beijing Normal University (BNU), the Department of Education of the Moscow Lenin Normal College of the former Soviet Union, as well as in elementary schools, middle schools, and universities. In addition, he also served part-time as the president of the Chinese Society of Education to the co-president of the World Comparative Education Association and paid academic visits to Asia, the Americas, and Europe. Gu is experienced in academic research in the basic theories of education, foreign education research, and international comparative education research. He does not only pay attention to the various forms of education reality, but also outlines the future of Chinese education in his articles.
