Multiple Correspondence Analysis of Talent Management in Higher Education Institutions
摘要
The dynamism of talent management (TM) within higher education institutions is rapidly gaining wide interest in academia. Extant studies have divulged factors of attraction, development, and retention of highly skilled employees as crucial levers for nurturing the principle of commitment to work. The primary objective of this study is to apply multiple correspondence analysis (MCA) to examine secondary data on TM in higher education institutions. The four categorical variables that were considered for the MCA are factors influencing TM, the data analysis methods employed by previous studies to disclose the influencing factors, the sample size of the studies, and the level of statistical significance of the relationship between the factors. The striking and distinctive finding of this study underscores the profound impact of employee attraction, employee engagement, performance management, and succession planning on employee retention. The finding offers valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners in higher education institutions to craft effective human capital strategies. The study concludes by asserting the importance of aligning TM practices with the strategic objectives of institutions to enhance employee attraction, employee engagement, succession planning, and performance management to improve employee retention through effective TM interventions in higher education institutions.
