The rapid expansion of the digital economy has spurred a growing demand for skilled professionals adept in managing and applying big data across various industries. However, the current educational framework for nurturing big data management and application talents in China remains in its nascent stages, struggling to adequately address the burgeoning societal demand for such skilled individuals. This paper conducts a comprehensive analysis of the prevailing educational paradigms within the domain of big data management and application in China. Building upon this examination, it introduces a pioneering “Four-in-One” talent development model, integrating teaching, research, practical application, and employment components tailored specifically for the exigencies of the digital economy. Additionally, concrete recommendations are provided for the implementation of this integrated educational approach within academic institutions. Employing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), the paper constructs an evaluative framework for assessing the efficacy of the “Four-in-One” training model. By delineating these findings, the paper offers invaluable insights and impetus for the enhancement and refinement of big data management and application programs within colleges and universities, thereby contributing to the continual evolution and advancement of this critical field.
