A Grasshopper-Based Anti-counterfeit Pattern Design Experiment
摘要
Anti-counterfeit is one of the fundamental techniques of packaging, and an important component of packaging materials’ texture. The technique has been existing in the society for a long time, yet it is still a widely discussed topic in today’s world. In today’s increasingly fierce market competition, limited by technology and capital, it is difficult for most companies to use smart packaging techniques, such as the NFC (Near Field Communication) tag technology, to achieve Anti-counterfeit purposes. As a result, Anti-counterfeit Pattern is still one of the cheapest yet the most reliable Anti-counterfeit methods for most companies. The major problem is that the composition of the Anti-counterfeit Pattern is oversimplified at present, and the production process of the Anti-counterfeit Pattern is very time-consuming and inefficient, due to the high level of dependency on the designers’ manual creation. However, the semi-automation of Anti-Counterfeit Pattern design could be the potential solution of this problem. The semi-automation is achieved from the small plug-ins developed based on grasshopper, and digital creative technologies in general. It can not only improve the efficiency of Anti-Counterfeit Pattern creation, but also discover more possibilities for the innovation of visual forms. This study is based on the above idea with the aim of exploring the grasshopper-based counterfeiting technologies.
