This quantitative research study examines the effects of menopause on life satisfaction among women in the Madurai District, located in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, India, and this study will also focus on anxiety and depression. Menopause is a significant event in a woman’s life that marks the end of her reproductive years, and it can have both physical and psychological effects. One area that may be affected is a woman’s overall life satisfaction. The hormonal changes associated with menopause can contribute to a variety of symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings, which can affect a woman’s daily life and impact her sense of well-being. The study utilized a descriptive statistics research design, with a sample of 314 women participating and completing a structured questionnaire. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effects of menopause on life satisfaction among women in the Madurai District, and will also focus on the variables such as anxiety and depression. The study aims to provide a deeper understanding of the factors that impact women’s life satisfaction during the menopausal transition and to inform the development of targeted interventions to support women’s mental health and wellbeing. Ultimately, the research findings have the potential to improve the quality of life for women in the Madurai District and beyond.
