摘要

With the upsurge of the digital realm, online engagement continues to preoccupy human minds greatly, and people always look for technical solutions and e-alternatives to catalyze their conventional approach. Online rendezvous, like medical appointments, and the concept of telehealth and telemedicine have become part of our routine. Considering this “new normal” and disparate demands of people and organizations, researchers are working collaboratively towards providing customized and enriching experiences for per diem healthcare activities. The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) has been a key enabler of revolutionizing the communication flux in the healthcare sector. This flux is in the form of critical patient data and is susceptible to treacherous cyber-attacks and threats. To acquire knowledge on the abovementioned area, an all-inclusive study of breakthrough technologies used as cornerstones of the IoMT industrial sector. Moreover, this paper proposes an authentication and key agreement scheme for a resource-bound IoMT environment, which was found SAFE over AVISPA and which conserves security essentials like forward/backward secrecy, anonymity, and integrity and has reduced communication costs. Further, a SWOT analysis of IOMT has also been assessed.
