Yun-Gui plateau region has a complex geographical environment, where the distribution network is relatively week, and the power quality problems are prominent.In addition, these areas are mostly based on the type of network structure of large power grid with small hydropower grid which does not sat-isfy with N-1 reliability configuration, resulting in frequent power outages. This paper conducts research on the power quality problems of a rural grid in Yunnan -Guizhou Plateau area, the out-of-limit voltage problems of the dis-tribution lines are explored in depth based on measured datas as well as the main influencing factors. Combined with the local power grid, a hydro-photovoltaic storage microgrid is proposed, the transient microgrid simula-tion model of hydropower, photovoltaic, energy storage and load is estab-lished combined with the structure of the power grid, and four operation schemes proposed are simulated and verified by the model. The simulation results show that the proposed operation scheme can meet the operation scenario of the microgrid, which provides a certain theoretical support for enhancing the power supply capacity of the local power grid and improving the reliability of power supply.
