Circuit Analysis and Simulation of LCC-LCC Compensated WPT with Coil Internal Resistance

In the wireless power transfer (WPT) system, the internal resistance of the coil will lead to the loss of electric energy and affect the transmission performance of the system. It is of great significance to establish an analysis model with coil internal resistance for the design of WPT system. In this paper, an equivalent circuit model of LCC-LCC compensated WPT system is proposed. According to the proposed model, the influence of circuit parameters, including coil internal resistance, on the transmission performance of WPT system is analyzed. The analytical expressions of system output power and efficiency are derived, and the index for optimizing the constant current (CC) output characteristic of the system is given. Finally, the constant current output characteristic and zero phase angle (ZPA) characteristic of the WPT system are verified by simulation model. The simulation waveform is basically consistent with the theoretical analysis results, which can provide reference for the parameters design and optimization of the WPT system.
