A Novel RFID Sensor for Real-Time Temperature Monitoring in Substation
摘要
High voltage equipment in substations is a key component of smart grids. The abnormal temperature of these devices will lead to faults in the substation and even the entire power system. For substations, a widely employed, reliable, and maintenance convenient monitoring system is a necessary condition for online monitoring of the operating status of high-voltage equipment. This article designs a new type of self-powered RFID (SPRFID) temperature sensor tag and proposes a temperature monitoring system based on this new SPRFID temperature sensor tag. The introduced SPRFID temperature sensor can achieve long-term and long-distance temperature measurement in substations without batteries, which can reduce costs and maintenance pressure. The entire system was tested at a 110 kV substation, verifying its effectiveness and feasibility. The actual test results indicate that the monitoring system has high temperature monitoring accuracy and reliability.
