Brain tumor classification plays a vital role in early diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient prognosis. In recent years, the application of machine learning techniques has gained significant attention in the field of medical image analysis, particularly for brain tumor classification. This literature review provides a detailed synopsis of the recent improvements in the categorization of brain tumors using machine learning algorithms. We discuss various datasets, image modalities, and machine learning algorithms employed in this research. Additionally, we highlight the challenges and future directions to facilitate improved brain tumor classification.
