Taxonomy of Family: Bromoviridae
摘要
Members of the family Bromoviridae comprise single-stranded RNA, positive-sense, tri-segmented viruses with a genome size of ~8.0 kb. The viral RNAs are packed in discrete virions that may also include subgenomic, defective, or satellite RNAs. Virions differ in their morphology (isometric or bacilliform) and are transmitted mechanically, pollen, and non-persistently by insect vectors. Members of the family cause serious diseases in major crops including fruits and vegetables.
