Artificial Intelligence in Radiation Oncology
摘要
Humanity has long been haunted by whether intelligence other than human one can be used for any purpose in our everyday lives. Alan Turing famously developed the “Turing machine” that was instrumental in breaking the German enigma code. Almost instantly, Artificial Intelligence (AI) was born. So, in the truest sense, the use of AI is as old as the use of first computers. AI involves developing and using complex computer algorithms. The intent is to perform and ease tasks that typically require human intelligence. AI includes but is not limited to decision-making, problem solving, visual perception and pattern recognition.
