This section is dedicated toward an exhaustive discussion on modeling of laser micro-EDM-based hybrid micromachining for 1-D and 3-D machining. The modeling of the 1-D hybrid micromachining process will be discussed in this section in two parts. They are: 1. Modeling of the LBMM-µEDM drilling with constant EDM parameter, 2. Modeling of the LBMM-µEDM drilling with variable EDM parameters. The difference between the two parts is that the second part takes into account the effect of micro-EDM parameters on the outcome of the hybrid micromachining process. After that, the modeling of LBMM-µEDM micromilling process for constant µEDM parameters is discussed along with the effect of process variables on the outcome.
